The decision which the FG describe as a step to honour the Late Moshood Kashimawo Abiola, did not go down well with the students and Staffs of the University as the Student rushed out en-mass to protest against the change of the institution name.
The protest which disrupt traffic along the Ikorodu road, at Fadeyi, Yaba, Mushin, Idi Araba, Luth and many other routs that leads to the university campus lasted for about 4 hours.
During the protest, commuters on the road and alumni of the school stand in support of the protest.
The students however gave their displeasure to the change of name of the school and vowed to kick against such decision.
The Press Club University of Lagos in solidarity also resists and kicks against the action of the Federal Government to change the name of the school that has been built and established for the past 50 years.
