De-Beryl Group presents
THE LAGOS EMPOWERMENT SUMMIT 2013
The Concept of the Summit
The shortage of high-level skills is reported in a number of areas of the economy and the society at large. This shows the output of the higher education sector is not matching the country’s developmental needs. (Who is responsible?). There seems to be a disconnection between graduate training and the world of work. The unemployment situation in Nigeria has remained worrisome. It has risen from below 15% in the period 2002-2008 to over 20% in the period 2009-2011(federal office of statistics). Thus, Graduates are presently roaming the street looking for UNAVAILABLE employment.
Hence, this empowerment summit intends to make the graduates job creators rather than job seekers.
Why are we rendering these services?
To make people self-reliant and financially free
To move people from unemployment state to empowerment state
To empower people to achieve basic skills that would make them relevant and useful to themselves, their family and the society at large.
Who are our target audience?
